Carlie is thoughtfulness and empathy and common sense personified. Gently welcoming, always beautifully and brightly clad. One of those people that feels like sunshine.
I think about this time of year when we feel we are racing to the finish (or maybe just dragging ourselves along) and how in the hustle and haste we might miss what matters most. 

Seamus and I have been worried. About Sacha’s reading. We know he’s bright. We know he’s capable. We both love reading. We wanted it to be easy and wonderful for him. An escape and joy - like it was for us in childhood.
When I was homeschooling Sacha in Northern Ireland on our extended break, it was my main priority. Progress felt slow. Now though, with 6 months of seizure freedom under his belt and some tweaks and changes to his life…his reading has suddenly and dramatically improved.
I guess it’s just that proof that if you work away at something and don’t move forward for a long time suddenly it’s like a slingshot when you do. It’s felt like that for our business, for my painting, for our lives. Like suddenly, after years of really tough stuff, we’re propelled forward into a softer, gentler, more joyful time. However long it lasts and however you explain it, I’m extra grateful for the joy we get to experience now. I’m soaking it in. These little wins that feel monumental and life changing…and I’m grateful that Seamus and I feel so deeply moved by our son’s reading progress but also I’m moved again by how kind, thoughtful and perceptive he is. All those years of praying to be parents and the privilege of watching our fascinating, flawed, fabulous, phenomenal boys just is not lost on us. I tell them every day when they wake up that I’m so glad I get to be their mum today. Every day I mean it more than the day before.
I’m grateful for the gift I’ve been given - all the hard days mean that I really cherish these little moments of good. I hope you feel the same when you look at this piece. That it makes you slow down and notice new tiny details. That you have a moment of meditation and joy in the moment.

Artwork information

Fine art reproductions (prints) are printed on the very best archival cotton rag or archival stretched canvas as chosen by you by a small family firm in Brisbane. All of my cotton paper prints are inclusive of a 1cm white border and fit straight into standard frames or are easily custom-framed without losing any of the image, and the stretched canvas prints and originals can be put straight on the wall as they are ready to hang.

Our canvas prints come with a mirrored edge for a wrapped look or a plain edge if the background colour of the artwork is a block colour.

As with all new arrivals, we’d love to see you celebrate it properly. We suggest popping some champagne and taking a picture once it’s hanging on your wall.

Shipping - We post on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Australian Standard Shipping is Free or you can choose express for $10. International flat rate shipping is $25. We post most orders on the following Tuesday or Friday, however there are some exceptions:

A1 and A0 artworks are printed to order as are all stretched canvas artworks. Please allow an extra 5-10 business days for printing in addition to standard Australia Post delivery estimates. We often have things ready MUCH sooner but sometimes, our printer is overwhelmed with our orders so please be patient if your new art takes a little longer to arrive. We promise it will be worth it.

Original Artworks: We very carefully varnish originals and pack them incredibly well once they are sold. Seamus is in charge of all of that and he’s meticulous - he used to work on gas rigs so when it comes to safety and attention to detail? He doesn’t compromise. It can sometimes take him a whole day to pack an original depending on the size with his unique system so you can imagine if we sell a couple of originals all at once he gets very busy! An extra couple of days for careful packing is absolutely worth it for a safe delivery of your art, though. Expect a week or so between ordering your original and it being posted. I promise it will be worth it.

Purchase of any The New Devine original artwork or art product (including reproductions) does not entitle the purchaser to make further copies—the copyright remains with the artist.

Framing

Please note all prints are sold unframed.

We produce our prints to fit standard store-bought frames but we do recommend professional framing to improve the longevity and quality of your piece.

Methods: We accept all major payment methods: ShopPay, Apple Pay, Visa, Mastercard, Afterpay and Paypal

What you pay: As shipping worldwide is free, you pay only the total amount for your artworks as described in the product listing (minus any discount code you may have to apply at checkout.) GST is included in the purchase price listed. If ordering outside of Australia, you may also be responsible for import taxes imposed by your country on your items as they are sent internationally DDU (Delivery Duty Unpaid.) We are not responsible for any additional import taxes or duties you may be required to pay outside of Australia and as such the cost of these is not included in your purchase price from our website.

Unfortunately due to the new VAT requirements of Brexit, we are unable to ship to the UK at this time.
