Don’t Go Yet - Limited Edition Unframed Square Print
- Category: Shop Exclusive Prints
This Australian artwork full of native abstract wildflowers and foliage is sure to add a warming, magical and elegantly eclectic touch to your space.
Don’t Go Yet. As an only child (I only much later inherited a bunch of step siblings,) I remember thinking this often. Good times ended too soon. I’d stay up the night before play dates and birthday parties and horse riding lessons too excited to sleep. I knew the elation of what was to come and I also had a heavy, pervasive sense of how quickly the time would fly and how the joy would be over. My somnambulist self weary and worn with adrenaline the next day - almost too tired to enjoy the thing I had so whole-heartedly anticipated the night before. I was always so sad to say goodbye to friends, activities, outings…despite my delight and joy and gratitude for them in the first place.
I’ve not changed, as it turns out. Drinks and dinners with girlfriends always fly too fast and as I leave I wish we could stay and have sleepovers like teenagers and talk until the tiny quiet hours where drowsiness and drink bring our complicity closer. The same goes for tuck-you-in-time with my children when I realise another day has slipped quietly away and tomorrow they will need me a little less. Or time with family. I can never sleep when I know they are coming and when they leave and I hug them close my heart always screams so loudly I hope their heart hears it echoing like Morse code tapped against their chest, ‘don’t go yet!’
And I wonder. At what point did we decide, as adults, that there were appropriate time frames to catch up and why do we not just surrender to the joy of the now and embrace more time talking quietly instead of choosing responsibility and respectability and heading for home? I wonder if just a little more often we could say to those we love, ‘don’t go yet’ and smile and agree that the now, together, is a better idea. At least for a little longer.

Artwork information
Fine art reproductions (prints) are printed on the very best archival cotton rag or archival stretched canvas as chosen by you by a small family firm in Brisbane. All of my cotton paper prints are inclusive of a 1cm white border and fit straight into standard frames or are easily custom-framed without losing any of the image, and the stretched canvas prints and originals can be put straight on the wall as they are ready to hang.
Our canvas prints come with a mirrored edge for a wrapped look or a plain edge if the background colour of the artwork is a block colour.
As with all new arrivals, we’d love to see you celebrate it properly. We suggest popping some champagne and taking a picture once it’s hanging on your wall.
We’d love to see your celebrations. You can tag us on Instagram @thenewdevine or send your snaps to us by replying to your order email.
Our favourite store-bought frames can be found on framing guide, and more framing information can be found on our FAQ page. Or, as with any question, please feel free to get in touch so we can help you perfect a room with your new art.
Shipping - We post on Tuesdays and Fridays.
Australian Standard Shipping is Free or you can choose express for $10. International flat rate shipping is $25. We post most orders on the following Tuesday or Friday, however there are some exceptions:
A1 and A0 artworks are printed to order as are all stretched canvas artworks. Please allow an extra 5-10 business days for printing in addition to standard Australia Post delivery estimates. We often have things ready MUCH sooner but sometimes, our printer is overwhelmed with our orders so please be patient if your new art takes a little longer to arrive. We promise it will be worth it.
Original Artworks: We very carefully varnish originals and pack them incredibly well once they are sold. Seamus is in charge of all of that and he’s meticulous - he used to work on gas rigs so when it comes to safety and attention to detail? He doesn’t compromise. It can sometimes take him a whole day to pack an original depending on the size with his unique system so you can imagine if we sell a couple of originals all at once he gets very busy! An extra couple of days for careful packing is absolutely worth it for a safe delivery of your art, though. Expect a week or so between ordering your original and it being posted. I promise it will be worth it.
Copyright and reproductions
Purchase of any The New Devine original artwork or art product (including reproductions) does not entitle the purchaser to make further copies—the copyright remains with the artist.
Framing
Please note all prints are sold unframed.
Images above are examples only and have been included to give you a squiz at how beautiful the work looks when framed.
We produce our prints to fit standard store-bought frames but we do recommend professional framing to improve the longevity and quality of your piece.
