Orange and pink flower prints, ready for your home.

As a child, I would spend a lot of time in New Caledonia visiting my French family. My grandmother, an avid gardener and eco warrior, had the most incredible expanse of garden/forrest/lychee plantation and she reliably informed my three year old self (and every year after that) that she knew precisely when I would be flying onto the island to see her in April because little purple flowers bloomed outside her window the day before I was due to arrive at Easter.

My grandmother gave me many gifts of wisdom - learning to paint, to speak French well, to cook, to appreciate the beauty in nature’s simplicity and extravagance alike... but perhaps the most beautiful gift she gave me as a young child was that genuine belief that my arrival made those purple flowers bloom. For a little girl that searched the garden for flower fairies and who was dazzled by each new flower variety I was introduced to, that was a truly magical and kind belief to foster.

So Easter for me is always a time of looking out for purple flowers, really any flowers blooming and as an adult, I feel it was really my grandmother who made everything bloom - the garden, her grandchildren, everyone she met... it was her magic all along.

For everyone, Easter is all about new life and for me, nothing symbolises that better than fresh (purple) blooms and wild pastel colours. This happy, sweet, little bouquet celebrates new life, new hope, and that crisp, fresh seasonal change that brings cooler temperatures but equally, warmth to our hearts with time spent together and... lots of chocolate and hot cross buns.

Pauline is perhaps one of the most colour-loving people I’ve ever met so in naming this piece, her name seemed the obvious choice. The bouquet in this pink flower print celebrates her colourful wardrobe, kind nature and cheeky, subtle and contagious humour. She is the ultimate celebrator of new life and new beauty in the every day - the kind of magnetic, warm, delightful, principled and dignified human we all aspire to meet in life and should always cherish when we do. She’s a bit magic, if you ask me.

Artwork information

Fine art reproductions (prints) are printed on the very best archival cotton rag or archival stretched canvas as chosen by you by a small family firm in Brisbane. All of my cotton paper prints are inclusive of a 1cm white border and fit straight into standard frames or are easily custom-framed without losing any of the image, and the stretched canvas prints and originals can be put straight on the wall as they are ready to hang.

Our canvas prints come with a mirrored edge for a wrapped look or a plain edge if the background colour of the artwork is a block colour.

As with all new arrivals, we’d love to see you celebrate it properly. We suggest popping some champagne and taking a picture once it’s hanging on your wall.

We’d love to see your celebrations. You can tag us on Instagram @thenewdevine or send your snaps to us by replying to your order email.

Our favourite store-bought frames can be found on framing guide, and more framing information can be found on our FAQ page. Or, as with any question, please feel free to get in touch so we can help you perfect a room with your new art.

Shipping - We post on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Australian Standard Shipping is Free or you can choose express for $10. International flat rate shipping is $25. We post most orders on the following Tuesday or Friday, however there are some exceptions:

A1 and A0 artworks are printed to order as are all stretched canvas artworks. Please allow an extra 5-10 business days for printing in addition to standard Australia Post delivery estimates. We often have things ready MUCH sooner but sometimes, our printer is overwhelmed with our orders so please be patient if your new art takes a little longer to arrive. We promise it will be worth it.

Original Artworks: We very carefully varnish originals and pack them incredibly well once they are sold. Seamus is in charge of all of that and he’s meticulous - he used to work on gas rigs so when it comes to safety and attention to detail? He doesn’t compromise. It can sometimes take him a whole day to pack an original depending on the size with his unique system so you can imagine if we sell a couple of originals all at once he gets very busy! An extra couple of days for careful packing is absolutely worth it for a safe delivery of your art, though. Expect a week or so between ordering your original and it being posted. I promise it will be worth it.

Copyright and reproductions

Purchase of any The New Devine original artwork or art product (including reproductions) does not entitle the purchaser to make further copies—the copyright remains with the artist.

Framing

Please note all prints are sold unframed.

Images above are examples only and have been included to give you a squiz at how beautiful the work looks when framed.

We produce our prints to fit standard store-bought frames but we do recommend professional framing to improve the longevity and quality of your piece.
